Mushky Glitsenstein

Executive Director

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mushky has spent nearly every weekend and summer since high school working as a camp counselor and leading children’s programs. In 2018, she and her husband, Moishie, moved to Michigan to open Chabad of Royal Oak with the vision of creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental Jewish community.

Under their leadership, Chabad of Royal Oak flourished and led to the creation of Lamplighters Preschool—an early childhood center rooted in love, belonging, and celebrating each child’s inherent value. Mushky is passionate about early childhood education and finds her greatest joy in seeing children care for and uplift one another.

In her free time, Chana enjoys reading, spending time with her family, creating art projects, and surrounding herself with positive, upbeat people.
